About Eileen Mahood-Jose´

Eileen was born and raised in Little Ferry, received her humanities background in languages, art, literature, philosophy and religion, and social sciences at Montclair State, and lived in Madrid while completing her Masters in Spanish language and culture.

Although she had read tarot cards since she was sixteen and had taken classes in astrology and psychic development, iI was in Spain that she had her first experience
of psychometry and began to practice hands-on healing for friends and loved ones.
She returned home because she dreamt her mother was dying, and three weeks later
her mother’s bronchitis was correctly diagnosed as lung cancer. While continuing her language studies in the hope of one day working at the U.N., she began what would become a twenty-year career as an editor in elementary educational publishing.

In 1988 Eileen was introduced to the concept of interfaith, which mirrored what she had always believed in her heart, that we all have the same source and that all religious and spiritual paths lead us back to God and our inherent divine nature. Eileen attended lectures with Swami Satchidananda both in New York and at the ashram in Virginia, where there is a temple with an altar to every religion and still another to religions that have not yet been invented. From 1993 to 1995 Eileen attended the New Seminary and was ordained an interfaith minister in the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York.

Still, though, her interfaith healing ministry was reserved for weekends, while her weekdays were filled with children’s textbooks. Spirit is very patient. Eventually enough people told Eileen she should be doing the work, including her grandmothers, who also showed her what her parents never told her: that her mom’s German mother had read playing cards for her neighbors, while her dad’s Irish mother had read tea leaves for hers.

In 2001 Eileen began taking classes with Dr. Fritz Smith in a bodywork modality known
as Zero Balancing and successfully completed the program on March 16, 2010. She is now recognized by the Zero Balancing Health Association as a Certified ZBer, in addition to having been approved by the State Board of Nursing as a NJ certified/licensed massage therapist. Eileen is thrilled to partner with those seeking spiritual growth, counseling, and optimal health and wellness at Mind, Body, Spirit of Waldwick.

About the Lotus

The lotus has been depicted in the sacred art of ancient Egypt, India, China, and Japan
to represent beauty, serenity, purity of body, speech, and mind, rebirth, and spiritual enlightenment. In statuary you will see Buddhas and a variety of Hindu gods and goddesses seated or standing upon the lotus, or holding one.  As its roots grow in murky, muddy waters, yet the beautiful blossoms are held pristinely above them, the lotus has been used as a symbol for our own spiritual journeys. Like the lotus we are urged to rise above materialism, attachment, and desire, to bloom according to our divine nature and purpose, in the radiance of spiritual enlightenment.

This particular lotus is named afer Dr. Ichiro Ohga, the botanist who discovered 2,000-year old lotus seeds at an archaeological site in Chiba, Japan, and propagated the plants, which had become extinct. The photograph was taken by Rob Tilley, who has graciously licensed usage of it to us. About Referrals

Along the way I have met some very gifted people whose talents you should experience for yourself. I wholeheartedly recommend them to you. They will support you on your journey and help you achieve your goal of maintaining optimal physical, mental, and emotional health.

Julie Alongi

Julie is simply the most gifted psychic counselor I know of. She reads auras and can tell
you what you need to have checked by a health professional and where you are along your spiritual path. Her vision is so clear that she has assisted detectives to solve over 5,000 investigations. Julie is a jewel. For nearly thirty years she has served as a volunteer to help terminally ill children cross in hospices at five hospitals throughout New York and New Jersey. She now has a foundation by the name of Rose Petals, whose goal is to help the parents of these children cope with their enormous medical bills. To make an appointment for a psychic reading with Julie Alongi, you can call (973) 759-7581.
The website you can access to donate whatever you can to Rose Petals is www.rosepetals-hospice.org.

Emil Grancagnolo

In addition to being a licensed acupuncturist, Emil is a practitioner of shiatsu, which he learned from renowned teacher Tokujiro Namikoshi at the Nippon Shiatsu College in Tokyo, and a practitioner of tuina, a Chinese modality of manual adjustments, for which he completed four clinical internships in Beijing.  A session lasts for about an hour and might include treatment with acupuncture, tuina, or Chinese herbs.  Emil will keep all of you aligned, no matter what you are going through.
