Life is so fast-paced these days. It seems as if there are always a dozen things to do.
We have to balance work, study, family, friendships, leisure. There are bills and obligations, diet and exercise, homework and housework, research and plans to make, things to buy, put away, and recycle. There are things to celebrate, things to grieve, and everything in between. Depending on the season, there are gardens to plant and harvest, leaves to rake, or snow to shovel. There are things to do for the health and wellbeing of our loved ones and our pets, and things to do for the health and wellbeing of ourselves. And why are those things always at the bottom of our list?
Then, once we have fulfilled the needs of our minds and our bodies . . . what about our spiritual needs? Have you taken the time and the energy to determine your spiritual beliefs? Have you full faith in the beliefs you inherited from your parents, or have you found yourself slipping away from religious practice? Whether of not you have connected with your soul, whether or not you currently pray or meditate or talk to God at all, you are a combination of matter and spirit. H. P. Blavatsky is quoted at having said that “Matter is Spirit at its lowest point of manifestation and spirit is matter at its highest.”
Mind, Body, Spirit of Waldwick can help you to connect with, explore, develop and honor the divine spirit within you. In addition to the workshops and individual counseling we provide to guide you through the rich spiritual traditions available for your study and consideration, both of which are more thoroughly explained in the section of our website dealing with the Mind, we are pleased to offer customized ceremonies and two sets of postings on this site.
The first, Prayers and Prayer Requests, has a collection of printable prayers and postings
of special intentions e-mailed to me by our prayer circle. Feel free to join the prayer circle by e-mailing me your sincerest prayer requests or by taking note of those in need and praying for their highest good. It is that simple. The second, Ponder on This, is a selection of inspired passages written by mystics, poets, and spiritual leaders and seekers for your edification
and consideration.
The buttons at the left will take you to these postings or to a page where you will find more detailed information about Rev. Eileen's ceremonies. Provided there is enough interest and a suitable location can be found, we would like to resume twice monthly worship services, which would be announced on the Worship Services page of this website. If you are drawn to the philosophy that there are many paths to God and feel the desire to celebrate and pray together in a community of like-minded people, take a few moments to consider whether you might attend twice monthly worship services and be a part of The Light of All Faiths Interfaith Fellowship. Then, send me an e-mail suggesting a convenient day and time, along with your location, so that I can find a location convenient to everyone.
